This Privacy Policy explains how the YouTube Logout Confirmation Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles your information.

Information We Collect

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

When you attempt to log out of YouTube or Google, the Extension temporarily:

• Reads the URL of the tab you are navigating to (website content),
• Sets a short-lived (1-minute) anonymous token cookie on https://logoutconfirm.site only,
• Closes the logout tab and redirects you to the confirmation page at logoutconfirm.site.

No browsing history is logged, no user identifiers are collected, and no data is sent to any servers.

How We Use the Information

The URL check is used only in real time to detect logout attempts (accounts.google.com/Logout?service=youtube or youtube.com/logout).

The temporary cookie is used solely so the confirmation page knows the redirect came from this Extension. The cookie automatically expires after 1 minute and is never read by the Extension itself.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. The only external domain involved is logoutconfirm.site, which receives only the temporary anonymous token cookie.

Permissions Explained

The Extension uses the following permissions exclusively for its single purpose:

• tabs — Used only to detect logout URLs and perform the redirect.
• cookies — Used only to set a short-lived token on logoutconfirm.site.
• declarativeNetRequest — Used only to reliably block the logout request at the network level.
• host_permissions — Limited to the domains required for logout detection and the confirmation page.

Your Rights

Since no personal data is collected or stored, there is no data to access, correct, or delete.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
